Description
"More Than One Thing," directed by Washington University MFA student Steven Carver, tells of the dreams and aspirations of Billy Towns, an African American teenager growing up in the infamous Pruitt-Igoe housing project. The collection contains a digitized copy of the film which was preserved with a Basic Preservation Grant from the National Film Preservation Foundation (NFPF), production photographs by Carver, a 60-second commercial directed by Carver and starring Billy Towns, paper materials related to the life of Billy Towns, and an oral history with brothers Billy and Tommie Towns conducted by Film & Media Curator Brian Woodman in 2016.
