Akademie für die Wissenschaft des Judentums

This is the bookstamp of the Akademie für die Wissenschaft des Judentums, which was established in Berlin in 1919 to promote Jewish scholarship and the publication of scholarly work. The academy was the first German institution to advocate for the scholarly study of Judaism in a secular framework, as opposed to the traditional rabbincal seminaries. The academy produced a number of publications, including annual reports from 1919 to 1930. The academy ceased operations in 1934.
