Description
Sefer Ot Emet is a comprehensive work on the laws of reading in a Sefer Torah, related blessings, and customs by R. Yehudah ben Manoah ben Ya'akov Said.
R. Said is considered among the great rabbis of his generation. He was born in Dobnitza and served there as rav until 1809. R. Said was a student of R. Reuben ben Jacob Ravin Sofia, being raised by him as a son. Among R. Said’s other works are Ner Mitzvah on Kellalei ha-Talmud and poskim and Kohelet Ya’akov .When elderly, R. Said sent up to Eretz Israel, where he resided in Safed, passing away in 1815.
