To Barbara Bray [15 December 1964]: "It's difficult. Jack, with whom I haven't had more than 3 hours work since I came, called off today (flu?), & Williamson did not turn up this morning (out all night). We plotted Act I Pozzo scenes as best we could with substitutes. Text not known, nothing done on 2nd act, & we open tomorrow fortnight! Paul Curran working very hard & will be excellent. Lynch light weight but adequate. O'Brien seems to understand. Page enclined [sic] to inopportune stringing of pearls but pleasant to work with." -The Letters of Samuel Beckett: 1957-1965, pp. 640-641
