Description
Lama Tashi Dorje (b.1919) was the younger son of Tinley Ozer, the head lama of Sama who was probably born around 1880. Tashi Dorje's elder brother, Tinley Gyatso (1908/9-1951) was the incumbent of the lama lineage by virtue of seniority, but died at a young age. Tashi Dorje was regent until his nephew, Lama Karma Gyurme Dorje (b.1948) came of age. Tashi Dorje is one of the most highly respected clerics in Nubri.
