Elizabeth Bishop to Gardner, December 10, 1966. Bishop updates Gardner on her new address - she has been moving around alot and grows tired of it. She tells her that she bought another house, but expresses regret because she really doesn't need it. Bishop knows that Gardner has had a hard year and hopes that she is getting through it. She tells Gardner about her teaching experience and the things that she learned about her students. Bishop tells Gardner about Lota and how she has become ill. Lota was sent to a clinic to rest but Bishop doesn't believe she will slow down her pace because Lota feels like she always has to be busy.
