Post card from Elizabeth Bishop to Gardner, August 8, 1969. Bishop thanks Gardner for her letter and is glad that Gardner likes Ireland. She then explains who the woman is that is pictured on the front of the post card. She tells Gardner that the woman, Dona Olympia, is a local who pretends to be crazy and eccentric--but who has also traveled and has been photographed alot. Bishop has been dealing with lawyers and trying to get her house fixed so that she may move in. She has decided to call her house "Casa Mariana" .
