Robert Lowell to Isabella Gardner, May 22, 1961. Lowell tells Gardner that he and Lizzie are back together. He updates her on his moving. He says that Lizzie is struggling to complete her book of essays and that he has turned in his manuscript. Now he is unemployed. He will have to interact with old enemies at a festival being held the next day. He says that he will be polite. Lowell raves to Gardner about the poetry of Elenar Taylor. He says to Gardner to give his best to Montale - Lowell feels that he is a great writer.
