William Matheson to Isabella Gardner, June 11, 1965. Matheson writes to Gardner to introduce himself as head of the Rare Book Department of Washington University. He informs her that her package arrived safely. He is writing to Gardner because Mona Van Duyn is away from the job -- but he tells Gardner to expect Van Duyn to write to her soon. Matheson asks that Gardner consider Washington University Libraries to become home to more of her materials at a later date. He thanks her again for sending her materials and for arranging them for easy identification.
