Elizabeth Bishop to May Swenson, March 9, 1964. Bishop complains to Swenson about the Brazilian Post Office neglecting to deliver her mail and to send out her mail to others. Sometimes she gets her mail and sometimes she does not. She thanks Swenson for sending her 500 piece puzzle. Bishop doesn't like the "reading business" and admires Swenson for her success at it. Bishop also tells Swenson of certain style of grammar that she finds poets using that bother her. Bishop also complains about the heat of the climate and how everything rusts or mildews so fast. Betty T brought Bishop more Bicos de Lacre. Bishop has had some of her poems translated into Italian, but she is unhappy with the format. She speaks to Swenson about Lota's nephew Flavio and how intelligent he is.
