Robert Penn Warren to Isabella Gardner, February 18, 1967. Warren updates Gardner on his life in France and his travels with his family. His wife Eleanor was able to get back to writing her novel and he was able to write a series of poems.

Robert Penn Warren to Isabella Gardner, March 2, 1974. Warren writes that he and his wife are arriving this afternoon. He deeply appreciates Gardner and he hopes that all is going well for her. Warren says that it would be nice to see her.
