Description
Program for the November 11, 1973 performance of Krapp's Last Tape and Not I, featuring Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn, directed by Alan Schneider, at Washington University in St. Louis.
Tandy and Cronyn were highly-regarded actors and a married couple who acted in many stage, radio and film productions together. Schneider was Beckett’s official American director. The Mallinckrodt Center and Edison Theater both opened in the Fall of 1973.

"Jessica Tandy will have told you about our for me most enjoyable meeting.
"If this exceptional occasion had not arisen I would not have released Not I before testing it further, both text and image, in a sterner workshop than imagination's. I shall be sending a revised version to Alan, before the end of this month. I am not at all sure it is viable but have nothing else to offer."
