Title Description - 670 color images document the making, firing and installation of handmade fire brick in this artist's book from Adam Welch. Through the fabrication and subsequent sculptural installation of the bricks, Welch tries to balance conceptual, philosophical and formal ideas with real labor, real activity and real work. The installations occur over a four day nonconsecutive 48-hour period. According to the artist, Infinite Reconstruction, as a document and a work of art, is a metaphor for the human condition. 29 June 2009 (printedmatter.org).
