Elizabeth Bishop to Gardner, October 21, 1955. Bishop mentions that the local post office is very good because she received Gardner's letter in about 3 days. Bishop also says that she has met Mary Morse to deliver a message from Gardner. She tells Gardner that Alfredo Rizzardi of Bologna wants to use female poets in his anthology of American poetry. Bishop asks her if she knows anything about Rizzardi before she considers working with him. She tells Gardner not to worry about Marianne Moore not liking her poetry--some great poets are poor judges of the works by other poets.
