Title Description - In these square black and white photographs of the Svit plant in Zlín, Veronika Zapletalová shows the formalist architecture of the industrial building under attack by its own ventilation system. The pipes and ducts which crawl over the roofs and into the windows of the plant are colored in with red pencil, so that they look like the one living element in an otherwise sterile environment. The images are both funny and ominous in their low tech depiction of the human in the machine. 29 June 2009 (printedmatter.org).
